Which Macs does this release support?
Version 0.8.3 is built for Apple Silicon (M-series Macs) and requires macOS 13 or later. An Intel build is not included in this release.
Is the app signed and notarized?
This early preview uses an ad-hoc signature. It is not Developer ID signed or Apple notarized, so macOS may block it from opening. A notarized release is needed for the standard public installation experience. Do not disable your Mac’s security protections to install it.
Can I close my MacBook lid?
Agent Lock prevents idle sleep. It cannot guarantee continued work when the lid is closed, the battery is low, or macOS needs to protect the hardware. Keep the lid open, or use a supported external-display setup.
Does Agent Lock replace the macOS lock screen?
No. Agent Lock is an app-provided privacy screen. For macOS lock protection, use Apple Lock and set System Settings → Lock Screen → Require password after the screen saver begins or display is turned off to Immediately.
How do I install the preview?
Download the disk image, open it, and drag Agent Lock into Applications. This preview is not notarized, so macOS may show an “Apple cannot check this app for malicious software” warning. If you trust this download, click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway and confirm Open. If you chose Move to Trash, download again and choose Done at the warning. This manual exception bypasses Apple’s notarization check.
